Winter weddings have a special kind of magic. When it’s cold outside, you can fill the venue with warmth, glow and romance that wraps you like a soft blanket. This wedding in Krakow proved that even without peonies or hydrangeas, you can still achieve a breathtaking effect. All you need is a touch of boldness, a hint of gold and… reflected garden roses that stole the show.
The main theme? Golden Winter – subtle elegance, milky shades and golden accents beautifully reflecting candlelight. On the long banquet tables, we created arrangements with fluffy garden roses shaped using the reflected technique so the petals looked like gently unfolding in a dance. We paired them with delicate golden asparagus, white lisianthus and tall glass candleholders with milky candles. Crystal glasses and glass elements on the table added a royal winter vibe.
As a wedding florist in Krakow I love combining textures: soft roses with airy asparagus, smooth glass with organic flowers. Winter decor has one huge advantage – we don’t have to compete with nature outside, we can… redefine it. Instead of bold summer colours, we focus on softness, light, elegance and shimmering reflections.
Creating this style was pure artistic joy. I wanted to keep the lightness even without typical “summer” flowers. Reflected roses were the perfect choice – luxurious, yet soft and romantic. Add golden asparagus – like jewelry for flowers – and the look was complete.
For the couple, it was love at first sight. For us, one of those projects we will remember for a long time.

Winter can be golden. And incredibly romantic.
